Myocardial dysfunction & atrial disorders
David Duncker presents a summary of a clinical trial shared by Johann Bauersachs at HFA 2025.
The study involved 19,000 german patients who experienced sudden cardiac arrest and were equipped with a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD). These patients had either newly diagnosed non-ischemic cardiomyopathy or a recent myocardial infarction. Among other findings, the trial explored the incidence of sudden cardiac arrest, as defined by appropriate WCD therapies.
